Reservations

If all our lending copies of a book are checked-out, you may place a reservation using OLIS. Instructions are available online. Your default password is either your date of birth (entered in the format 12JUN1974) or your University card barcode number. Readers will be notified by email when a requested book is available; this will then be held for two working days. Reserved books awaiting collection may be consulted by any reader in the library on the condition that they are returned to the desk immediately if required for collection.

Renewals

Items may be renewed up to seven times if they have not been reserved. Items can be renewed using OLIS; select 'Patron Functions' in Web OLIS or 'Display Your Record' in telnet OLIS. Your default password is either your date of birth (entered in the format 12JUN1974) or your University card barcode number. Go to 'Item List'; from here you can see when your books are due back and select titles for renewal. You may also renew books in person or by telephoning the library. Overdue books can not be renewed over OLIS.
